Miechów Basilic

One of my excersises in realistic painting. I have used a photo I have taken in Miechów, it’s about – I don’t know, 40 km from here? Anyway it’s a little town with a big church. The church had something to do with Order of Holy Sepulchre, but I’m not quite sure what it was.  It’s one of these old churches  which grow like mushrooms, outwards from the centre, baroque chapels around gothic nave and lot’s of decorations and statues  sprouting in random places.  Historians don’t respect this kind of buildings, they are not uniform in style. But it was a quiet and beautiful place.
